To felicitate good research, managing and creating good network is extremely essential. This is why researchers are often encouraged to travel and expand their horizons and meet new members of their research group so as to benefit the most from networking. One of the ways this is ensured is by providing travel grant to researchers so that they could easily relocate and work and study at another institution with different teams.

The EORS Research Travel Grant is offered twice a year, and to apply, candidates need to meet several conditions:
  • Applicant should be a resident in training or/and a PhD student.
  • The Applicant should be a member.
  • Exchange travel is limited within Europe.
  • The Host Institution should have a minimum of one member.
  • An agreement should already in place between the host institution and the applicant.
  • Applicant should have a well written CV and send a good motivation letter as well.
  • Duration of the exchange should be between 2 to 4 weeks.
  • The budget of the applicant should be considered.
The applicant can apply for four times a year, before the EC comes to a hold a meeting. The maximum funding that any applicant could receive is about 2000 Euros. The applicant also has to write and publish a brief report on the exchange on the EORC website.

The submission deadlines are fixed on a quarterly basis:

31st of March;
31st of June;
30th of September;
31st of December.
